Window art adds to outdoor festive decor

Michelle Wipf is the creator of the beautiful birch tree and cardinal window painting that adorns the windows of the Souris Medical Clinic and neighbouring Pharmasave.
She started painting the Pharmasave windows three years ago, which lead to painting the clinic windows and the Souris Chicken Chef. This year she has added more businesses and some resident windows to her list.
“What began with growth charts turned to canvases and the list just kept growing up to windows. I enjoyed challenging myself to learn something new,” shared Wipf.

Wipf also created a sketch of Hillcrest Museum that was raffled off to contribute to fundraising for the roof repairs.
Wipf’s painting career began with a small business making custom growth charts for children on six foot boards for parents to mark their children’s growth over the years, making sure they could take that record with them if they moved.
“I don’t do as many as I used to, as now my two boys are a little older and I have a full time job but painting has always been something I enjoy, in whatever time I can make for it,” stated Wipf.
